Pass the carrots, thanks...

...and the bananas, pears and rice cereal...these are all the foods Lila eats...so far...

Ana starts on Monday

Today Lila and Angela spent the day hanging out with Lila's new nanny Ana. After story time at the library in Chinatown, we took Ana to dim sum + then on a big walk around the city. It was a gorgeous day + Lila loves her new friend.

24 weeks old tomorrow - that's 6 months, baby

Two teeth, lots of chit chat, giggles galore, a trip to Sydney and one to Oregon too...that's how Lila does the first 6 months...She's officially Karl's #1 fan. Her dad and mom are officially her #1 fans...She loves bath time + will be taking swimming lessons soon. No, she doesn't 'sleep through the night,' but that's okay. Most days you can spot her in a bright yellow stroller making her way up Nob Hill, through Chinatown, past Union Square or on her way to the Ferry Building...There's no stopping her, that's for sure. ;)

Lila goes to the Apple Farm for John + Jennifer's wedding

It was a gorgeous weekend to be in the Anderson Valley - close to Mendocino - for Lila's first wedding. She did very well and only took a short nap after the ceremony. She really enjoyed lounging under an apple tree, listening to the blue grass band and watching all the people. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Putnam!!!

Sorry pears...Lila just isn't that into you...

Lila had her first solid food tonight - pureed pears. She made lots of funny faces + most of the pears ended up on her face....but it was a good start! Notice how close Karl was during the whole event..he happens to like pureed pears. ;)

Karl models again...

This is a shot from our apartment of a German catalogue photo shoot. When Karl, Lila and I were walking up the hill, this crew asked Karl to take part in the shoot...Lila and I watched from the sidewalk as Karl crossed the street with a model about 10 times...way to go Karl!!!!!!!!!

Not sure what this is about...

...these days Lila thinks it's really funny to make this face, blow air out her nose + suck it back in quickly...a little weird but it makes her laugh.

East Bay adventure

Today we took BART to visit Rachel, Eden, Rachel's sis Liz + her daughter Ella...It was cold but lovely + we all went to the park. Lila enjoyed her very first swing on a 'big' swing...lots of laughs + smiles....Thanks to Rachel for these pics.

Work it, girl

Lila spends a lot of her free time doing crunches...one of these days she's just going to sit right up. Unfortunately her mother doesn't share her passion for killer abs.

Too bad the Giants are really bad...

Brendan's boss gave us some great tickets for yesterday's game + we shared them with Mary Michael, Todd and Cameron...Lila and Cameron were very good little baseball fans + the SF weather was actually enjoyable...Go Giants! (if you click on the middle pic to enlarge, you can see Lila's teeth)

Playing with her brother...

...seems to get more entertaining every day. Lila looks at Karl and cracks up. He's been letting her get closer + occasionally 'pet' him. He's a very good boy + yes, she's going to be a real dog lover.

Lila enjoys storytime

Today Lila and Angela went to Storytime at the Chinatown library. It was great fun - lots of singing and stories (in English and Cantonese) and new friends. We've joined the summer reading program, so if we read enough stories by next Thursday Lila will get a finger puppet...pretty cool, eh?

Not long now...

Lila has been rolling over for a couple of weeks now...but today she rolled all the way off her gimini and got dangerously close to trying to crawl...Something tells me it won't be long!

Lila loves Oregon

We had a great time with all our friends + family in Oregon. Lila was so happy to have lots of time with her grandparents (including great grandma) and cousins. It's so nice to know all that love is just a short flight to the North...but, next time Lila wants her dad to make the trip. It wasn't the same without him.

Here's to many more trips + many more 4th of July celebrations!!!!

Lila checks out the Oregon Coast

Grandma, Grandpa + Great Grandma took us to Lincoln City for a night. It was beautiful weather (particularly for the Oregon Coast!!) + a great time.

Lila loved seeing the Storey family

A few people spend the 4th with Lila...

Thanks to all of you who popped by to spend some time with Lila on her first 4th of July - some are pictured but some are not. Angela was enjoying herself too much to document everyone!!! Sorry....and yes, I realize Mike + Jennifer Switzer are pictured twice...just can't fix it...too stupid + too many blog postings to go...
